Cowshed is a collection of sociable spas and natural products for the body and home from Soho House. Originally launched in 1995 as a spa in Somerset, England, the name grew into a range of organic and natural products using ingredients picked from the garden of Babington House.
Launched over twenty years ago, Cowshed was in need of a fresh look and feel to bring its product range and spas up-to-date with the current market. It was still important however to retain its roots as the original all-natural spa brand and stay recognisable to its loyal customers and Soho House members.
Skincare Packaging
Sustainability has been Cowshed's philosophy since they first opened in 1998. I worked closely with the new product development team looking into ways to reduce the environmental impact of our products and packaging. As part of the refresh, we made the decision to work with G . F Smith for the paper boxes. These are made at a paper mill in the Lake District, England from recycled coffee cups which would otherwise have gone into landfill.

Branding Agency: Spinach
Approach:
The strategy and collaboration behind Cowshed’s rebrand had been 6 months in development with the branding agency Spinach before the project was moved in-house. I was made project lead and worked with the creative team to ensure the brands repositioning was in line across all sectors and platforms.
I worked on developing and overseeing new brand guidelines, packaging, artwork, POS, treatment menus, wholesale, website design, campaign photograph, print and digital marketing assets. For the most recent limited-edition summer range, I worked closely with artist Katie Scott to create botanical illustrations of ingredients to sit in line with Cowsheds moods.
